Find Comfort Here
Welcome! We’re so glad you’re here. We understand that talking about death doesn’t come naturally to most people.
Breathe deeply: We are here to help
Whether you're planning for your future or coming to terms with a terminal illness, thinking about death can bring up deep emotions. Questions swirling in your head may include:
There are costs to denying the reality of your mortality. Unwanted medical interventions, unresolved relationships, an increased burden on your loved ones. In our experience, these are the regrets of those who avoid discussing their end-of-life wishes.
Preparing for end-of-life takes courage, time and energy. It can also be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life and the greatest gift you give your loved ones. We invite you to work with CircleSpace to envision your fitting death and take the steps to make it so.

Is an End-of-Life Doula Right for you?
The short answer is, absolutely. You don't need to be near end-of-life or have a serious illness to benefit from working with a death doula. CircleSpace offers information, guidance and support to anyone who wants to make their end-of-life plans (if you are over 18 years old - that's YOU!).
End-of-life doulas can help anyone who is:
A doula is right for you if you:
End-of-life doulas can help anyone who is:
- Healthy
- Undergoing treatment for a serious illness
- Having hospice or palliative care
- Terminally ill
- Nearing death
- A family caregiver or
- Grieving the death of a friend or family member
A doula is right for you if you:
- Need to write your Holistic Advance Care Plan (instructions for the medical care you would want/not want if you couldn't make decisions for yourself)
- Want to create a Personal Comfort Plan (instructions for how loved ones and caregivers can bring you physical, emotional and spiritual peace as you undergo treatment for serious illness or through the dying process)
- Have a terminal illness and are feeling uncertain about how to prepare for your eventual death, how to leave your legacy and how to care for your family through this time and after you are gone (Death Doula Care)
- Are a family caregiver, adult child or grandchild of someone who is ill or dying and you need help with your caregiving responsibilities or coordinating their care from afar (Family Caregiver Support)
- Want to bring your friends or family together for a warm and dynamic experience to safely explore death, dying and what comes next! (Around the Kitchen Table Workshops)
Advance care planning helps everyone navigate the reality of their mortality and I highly recommend this workshop as an important first step in the process.

How Can End-of-Life Doulas Help During Covid-19?
Physical distancing and Covid-19 have changed the way we experience end-of-life. Now, more than ever, death doulas can help people adjust to this new reality and offer the same guidance and compassion we always did. We'll help you grieve the changes that
have come with physical distancing and explore creative ways to meet (and re-imagine) your wishes during this time. |
